• The Coffee Club

  • The group, composed of friends from diverse military backgrounds—air force, marines, and army—cherishes their long-standing tradition of meeting every Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. Over coffee, they engage in stimulating conversations about a wide range of topics, including politics, economics, society, technological advancements, family, and life in general. They rotate their meeting locations between venues like Camino Real Mexican Restaurant and Denny’s, adding variety to their gatherings.

We are always pleased to have guests join us occasionally on Wednesdays, thus enriching the range of topics.

James D. Fox

Every Wednesday morning at 08:00 we meet for what I call “The Coffee Drinkers Council,” and consider the solutions to the many problems facing humanity. At this point, our combined efforts have been less than successful. No matter, we meet again the next week for another try.
James, Garl, Ten, and Lee all expressed pride in the camaraderie and enriching exchanges shared at The Coffee Club. They view these weekly sessions as a celebration of their honorable lives, filled with inspiring stories and moments that pay tribute to their exemplary life experiences. The group sees this space as one of friendship, learning, and mutual respect, reflecting the value of their shared bonds and collective wisdom.

As a foreign guest at El Club del Café, I had the privilege of sharing unforgettable moments with an extraordinary group of people whose experience and knowledge span multiple fields, from the military to current topics such as politics, economics, technology, and society.

From the very first meeting, I was welcomed with warmth and respect, immediately feeling the spirit of camaraderie that unites these long-time friends. Beyond the enriching conversations, I discovered the true value of friendship: mutual support, shared laughter, and admiration for exemplary life journeys.

Every Wednesday, in places like Camino Real or Denny’s, this group transforms a simple coffee gathering into an experience of learning and inspiration. Being part of The Coffee Club, even for a short time, allowed me to understand the importance of genuine bonds and the power of shared wisdom.
